iOS 13.6 update brings into light a new audio stories feature for Apple News+ (currently available in the United States only), adds a new category for symptoms in the Health App and adds support for a digital car keys feature.
Here is what you can do with the Digital car keys feature:
- Lock, start and Unlock a compatible car with your iPhone
- Securely remove digital keys from a lost device via iCloud
- Use iMessage to Share digital keys easily.
- Set Driver-specific profiles giving you the ability to choose full-access or restricted driving
Health App Updates
- New category for symptoms in the Health app, including symptoms logged from Cycle Tracking and ECG
- Ability to log new symptoms, like fever, chills, sore throat or coughing, and share them with third-party apps
Here are some bug fixes and other improvements included in the update:
- Option to add a new setting to perform updates automatically by downloading them to your device when on Wi-Fi
- Addresses an issue from unresponsive apps during syncing data from iCloud Drive
- Addresses an issue that may sometime interrupt audio when making phone calls over the Wi-Fi Calling feature
- Provides a mechanism for administrators to specify domains to exclude from traffic carried by always-on VPN connections
